First Bosnia and Herzegovina Congress of Occupational Medicine,
held in Tuzla, on May 22-25, 2003.
Unemployment
and Number of i nabiliti, Workers dramatically increased in
our contry at the last decade. Technical and organisational
changes have given many better, more secure and more stimulating
working conditions. At the same time, the need for life-long
learing is increasing in order to promote the inividual empoly-ability
as well as companies compettitiveness.The combined competence
of the labout force must be made use of,regardiess of gender,
aged, or physical disability. Stres, psychoactive substance
and lack of security at work are becoming a growing problem,
however whilst many of the tradicional working environment
problems such as nose, accidens in the work-place and chemical
health risk still remain.
The
congress tried to bring cerrent state of with occupational
disease risks and occupational related disease risk, with
particular attention to possible clinical position.
There
were also invited lectures. Where the hotles topics of Occupational
medicine basic research and applications were discussed.
