Out of the total number of patients rehabilitated
in our centre we selected 16 who were referred to the centre 6
weeks following the AMI. They were all men ageing between 38 and
57. For 15 days they spent in the centre, they followed the program
of cardiac rehabilitation for 15 days, including physical, medicament
and dietary regime. Method: on admission and discharge all of
them were stress tested by Bruce protocol. Results: At arrival
to the centre, 10 patients completed II Bruce grades (7,0 META),
5 patients performed I grade of Bruce protocol (4,4 META) and
1 patient achieved half of the first grade of the same protocol
(2,2 META). At discharge, 14 patients achieved one grade more
then on admission while 2 patients remained at the same stage.
Conclusion: Results show that after 15 days spent at cardiac rehabilitation,
the functional capacity of patients increased which was proven
and confirmed by stress test. In cases were objectively there
was no improvement, by talking to the patients we had the impression
that subjectively they felt much better .
